In January 2014, Brandt was selected by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division (GWRD) to design, develop, and implement a new, cutting edge recreational licensing and boat registration system to replace the obsolete solution in place at that time. Since GWRD’s contract with its legacy licensing vendor was ending July 1, 2014 of the same year, Brandt proposed an accelerated timeline to develop and implement business critical systems in less than 6 months. This eliminated the need for a contract extension or any delays for GWRD. On July 1, 2014, Brandt launched the new licensing and boat registration system, Go Outdoors Georgia. Brandt completed and implemented all project deliverables on time, at no upfront cost to the Department. The transition was seamless with no downtime between systems and no interruption in service to customers.
Authorized GWRD users can review applications and associated ownership documents electronically as well as process and approve or reject applications in real time using the new Go Outdoors Georgia solution.
