Brandt Information Services, Inc., an industry leader in outdoor licensing and recreational technology solutions, today announced its ‘Go Outdoors Georgia’ recreational licensing and registration system is a considerable success for the state’s Wildlife Resources Division. The Go Outdoors system has processed over 1 million license and vessel transactions and has collected over $20 million dollars in sales since the launch of the new system in July 2014. This is Brandt’s second successful licensing system implementation for state recreational agencies in Florida and Georgia.

In January of 2014, the Georgia’s Department of Natural Resources partnered with Brandt Information Services, Inc. to design, develop and implement a new online licensing and registration system for the state’s outdoor recreational activities. In less than 6 months, Brandt launched the new Go Outdoors Georgia platform. By utilizing Brandt’s Go Outdoors suite of tools and support services, Georgia’s DNR has surpassed its license and vessel sales goals and streamlined its online licensing and registration processes.

Brandt’s Go Outdoors division offers a suite of applications, tools and services that are customized to individual state agency needs in Online Licensing Solutions, Vessel Registration Systems, Reporting & Data Analysis Tools, and Marketing & Customer Retention. These tools will enable state wildlife and natural resource agencies to:

Retain, engage, and recruit customers; Simplify agency operations and generate better data and information; and Increase agency revenue and state conservation efforts. Go Outdoors Georgia provides residents and visitors of Georgia a simplified approach to obtain and renew their fishing and hunting licenses, purchase recreational passes, register and renew vessels, securely submit required documentation, and process all applications and payments online, essentially creating a one-stop-shop for all their licensing, vessel and recreational needs. “The complete online registration process provides quick and easy online access, minimizes paperwork, decreases wait times, and provides better customer service to its users,” says CEO John Thomas. In addition to purchasing hunting and fishing licenses and recreational passes online and with their mobile devices, customers may also apply over the telephone or at any of the nearly 800 Georgia retail license agents that use the Go Outdoors system to issue licenses.

Brandt’s partnership with Georgia’s DNR lead to the opening of an additional Atlanta office to provide ongoing support for the Go Outdoors project. The office fields almost 200,000 calls per year to answer questions about boat registration and hunting and fishing licenses, and also processes license sales and vessel registrations. The entire project has created over 40 new jobs in management, technology and customer service at its offices in Georgia and the company’s headquarters in Tallahassee, Florida.

“More and more agencies like Georgia’s Department of Natural Resources are looking to modernize their licensing technology and transition to these types of highly customizable retail-based systems. Brandt’s

Go Outdoors suite of solutions delivers a simplified online registration and payment collection process that is secure and easy to use, a platform that is accessible from all devices, and a project management support system to help streamline operations, while providing a higher level of customer service,” says John Thomas.
